Abstract
Abstract In this research, two asymmetricalazine CLH and BRH named 4-((E)-((E)- ((4-chlorophenyl)(phenyl)methylene)hydrazono) methyl)-2,6-dimethoxyphenol, 4-((E)-((E)- ((4-bromophenyl) (phenyl)methylene)hydrazono)methyl)-2,6-dimethoxyphenol has been synthesized. The compounds were characterized well by using conventional methods. Density functional theory (DFT) was performed using the B3LYP level with the 6–311 ± G (d,p) basis set to predict the molecular structure which was computed with the GIAO approach. Theoretical values predicted the nonlinear behavior of asymmetrical azines is also explained by the values of dipole moment (µ), polarizability (α0), and first hyperpolarizability (βtot). The synthesized compounds CLH and BRH have evaluated their antiproliferative activities against MCF-7 cell lines. These results established that the compounds CLH and BRH revealed more potent cytotoxicity and CLH dose-dependent activity and reduced cell viability.
