Abstract
Two ligands viz.N2,N6-bis(3-methyl-pyridine-2-yl)-pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide(L2) and N2,N6-diptoylpyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide(L3) were synthesized using pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid(L1) as the precursor.Complexes of Tb(Ⅲ) and Eu(Ⅲ) with ligand L2 (Na3Tb(L2)2Cl6 and Na3Eu(L2)2Cl6) were prepared respectively and their single-crystals were cultivated.The structures of the crystals were determined by infrared spectroscopy,elemental analysis and X-ray diffraction,respectively.Experimental results showed that the fluorescence intensity emitted by Na3Tb(L1)3 in dilute solution was the strongest at pH 6-7,while the fluorescence intensity emitted by (Na3Tb(L2)2Cl6 complex was significantly stronger than that by Na3Tb(L1)3 complex at pH 7.The fluorescence intensities of Na3Eu(L1)3 and Na3Eu(L2)2Cl6 complexes in dilute solution increased with the increase of pH in the range of 3-11.
