Abstract
Pinic acid( 3) was prepared by oxidation reaction and bromoform reaction from α-pinene.Pinic acid dihydrazide( 5) was obtained by N-acylation of 3 with Boc-hydrazine in the presence of HATU and successive removal of the Boc group. Six novel pinic acid-based diacylhydrazone compounds( 6a ~ 6f) were synthesized by condensation of 5 with substituted phenyl aldehydes. The structures were characterized by1H NMR,13C NMR,IR,ESI-MS,and elemental analysis. The preliminary herbicidal assay test showed that 6a ~ 6f exhibited a certain growth inhibition activity against rape root( Brassica campestris) at 100 μg·mL-1. Inhibition rates of pinic acid-based diacylphenylhydrazone( 6b) and pinic acid-based diacyl( 4-fluorophenyl) hydrazone( 6d) were 73. 2% and70. 1%,respectively.
