Abstract
Quinoxaline-3,4-dihydro-6,7-dimethyl-3-keto-4-D-ribityl-2-carboxamide (QN, RN: 13698-42-5) was prepared from the corresponding carboxylic acid (QC) and ammonia by using water soluble carbodiimide (WSCD) (Scheme 1). The structure of product was verified by physicochemical properties, especially by comparing the UV and NMR spectroscopic properties of QN and of the acetate with those of QC and riboflavin (RF).
