Abstract
2,2'-bis[4-(4-nitrophenoxy)phenyl]propane is synthesized by reaction among alkali metal carbonate or alkali metal hydroxides,2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane and p-chloro nitrobenzene in a suitable solvent. Then 2,2'-bis[4-(4-nitrophenoxy)phenyl]propane is reduced into 2,2'-bis [4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl]propane by different methods. The advantage and disadvantage of some production methods are presented from many aspects,such as the reaction conditions,yield of product,purity and whether it is suitable for large-scale production,etc. The research and development trend of 2,2'-bis[4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl]propane are also pointed out.
