Abstract
N-Phenyl-2,2-di(4-chlorophenoxy)acetamide was synthesized by the reaction of 4-chlorophenol on N-phenyl dichloroacetamide,which was prepared from dichloroacetyl chloride and aniline using tetrahydrofuran(THF) as the organic solvent in the presence of anhydrous potassium carbonate.The effect of feed composition,reaction temperature and reaction time on the yield of N-phenyl-2,2-di(4-chlorophenoxy)acetamide was investigated.The optimized conditions obtained were:a reaction temperature of 80 ℃,a reaction time of 4 h,and a ratio of(N-phenyl dichloroacetamide)/(4-chlorophenol)=1.0:2.2.The yield of N-phenyl-2,2-di(4-chlorophenoxy)acetamide could reach 75%.The structure of the compound was characterized by IR,1HNMR and elemental analysis.
