Abstract
1,6-Hexamethylene diurethane was synthesized with allyl polyoxyethylene ether and hexamethylene diisocyanate as raw materials in the presence of tin catalyst. Gemini polyoxyethylene ether trisiloxane surfactant( GPETS) was prepared by the hydrosilylation of 1,1,1,3,5,5,5-heptamethyltrisiloxane( MDHM) and 1,6-hexamethylene diurethane in the presence of Pt catalyst. The chemical structure of GPETS was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and proton nuclear magnetic resonance. The interfacial properties of GPETS were studied. GPETS can reduce the surface tension of water to approximately 22. 0 mN /m at the concentration of 5. 9 × 10- 5mol /L. The hydrolytic stability of GPETS was compared to polyoxyethylene ether trisiloxane surfactant in different pH value. The results show that the hydrolytic stability of GPETS is better than that of the latter,indicating that it is suitable for use in a wide range of pH value.
