Abstract
Isopropylamine(IPA) as a structure-directing agent could be used to synthesize both ZSM-23 and ZSM-5 molecular sieves. In the synthesis system of water glass-aluminum sulfate-IPA-concentrated sulfuric acid-H_2O, ZSM-23 and ZSM-5 molecular sieves both could be synthesized. By studying the competitive templating effect of IPA and OH~- , ZSM-5 nanorod was prepared by hydrothermal crystallization under the condition of low molar ratio of silica to alumina and high alkali dosage. The characterization results of XRD, SEM and N_2 adsorption-desorption showed that the as-synthesized ZSM-5 molecular sieves were nanosized rod-shaped crystals with high crystallinity and large external surface area.
