Abstract
Teflubenzuron is a new benzoylurea insecticide with especially good efficacy in controlling insect pests resistant to organophosphate, synthetic pyrethroid and carbamate insecticides. 3,5-Dichloro-2,4-difluoroaniline was synthesized by chlorination, reduction reaction from 2,4-difluoronitrobenzene; 2,6-Difluorobenzamide was synthesized by fluorination and hydrolysis from 2,6-dichlobenil; An acylation reaction of 2,6-difluorobenzamide and bis (trichloro- methyl) carbonate produced 2,6-difluorobenzoly isocyanate, followed by reacting with 3,5-dichloro-2,4-difluoroaniline to synthesize insecticide teflubenzuron, overall yield is 75.3. The product struture was characteriaed by elemental analyses, IR spectra and 1H NMR. It has characteristics of ready availability of reactant, high yield, good quality, little contamination to environment.
