Abstract
Abstract Details are provided for the preparation of tetrakis(trimethylsilyl)silane, and a discussion of its properties and mechanisms of formation are presented. The unique physical and chemical properties associated with this compound have been attributed to its high degree of symmetry and its branched-chain structure.
