Abstract
[76-83-5] (resins used to immobilize carboxylic acids, amines, imidazoles, alcohols, phenols, thiols, and thiophenols in solid-phase synthesis) Alternate Name: polymer-bound trityl chloride (1a), polymer-bound 4-methyltrityl chloride (1b), polymer-bound 4-methoxytrityl chloride (1c), polymer-bound 2-chlorotrityl chloride (1d). polymer type: 1% or 2% cross-linked poly(styrene-co-divinylbenzene). typical Bread size: 100–200 mesh or 200–400 mesh. Loading: varying from 0.3 to 1.9 mmol Cl g−1. Typical Solvent for Resin Swelling: dichloromethane (DCM), tetrahydrofuran (THF), methanol (MeOH), and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF). Typical Reaction Conditions: neutral or basic. Typical Cleavage Condition: dilute AcOH or trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) in DCM. Handling, Storage, and Precautions: avoid inhalation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure. Wash thoroughly after handling. Keep in a tightly closed container. Store in a cool dry place.
