Abstract
Tosufloxacin exhibited superior antimicrobial activity against Salmonella, E. coli and P. pseudomallei (all of which are common pathogens in the tropics) compared with the other agents. Its excellent in vitro antimicrobial activity and attractive pharmacokinetic properties indicate that tosufloxacin is a promising agent for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections in the tropics.[1] Further investigation into the clinical efficacy of this agent appears to be warranted.
