Abstract
Objective: Investigation of electrochemical behaviors of dihydralazine sulfate and its determination. Method: Dihydralazine was concentrated at carbon paste electrode and determined by adsorptive voltammetry in 0.1 mol ·L-1 NaOH solution. Results: The cathodic peak potential of dihydralazine was - 0.224 V ( vs·SCE) . The peak currents were proportional to the concentration of dihydralazine in the range of 2.8×10-7-3.9×10-5 mol·L-1, and the detection limit was 5.70×10-8 mol·L-1. Satisfactory results were obtained in the determination of dihydralazine tablet. Conclusion: This method is simple, of low cost with good reproducibility and low detection limit. The electrochemical behavior and reaction mechanism of dihydralazine at carbon paste electrode were discussed. It showed that the electrode process was quasi - reversible with two electrons and two protons.
